New Books, New Directions, and Exciting Projects Ahead
Firstly, welcome to my new website. I’m delighted to finally have a space where I can share more about my books, upcoming projects, thoughts, and future releases with readers old and new.
One of the biggest reasons for launching the website is that I’m finally beginning a project I’ve been postponing for over four years, largely due to my involvement with the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir and other commitments.
For a long time, I’ve wanted to revisit, update, and republish many of my earlier books in light of experience, feedback, and the things life continues to teach us. I’m delighted to now be working through that process properly, refreshing ideas, refining content, and giving these books a new lease of life for both existing and new readers.
Alongside this, I’ve also been thoroughly enjoying writing children’s fantasy stories. The style sits somewhere between Harry Potter, The Hobbit, and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, imaginative adventures with mystery, humour, courage, and heart, but written in a simpler and more accessible way for younger readers, while still hopefully appealing to older children and young teenagers too.
The updating and republishing process will continue throughout the year, although many of the original editions remain available in the meantime.
Here are some of the upcoming revised titles and releases currently in development:
54 Tools and Techniques for Business Excellence becomes Make Business Work - Practical Tools for Solving Problems, Leading Change and Improving Results
(Expected launch: June 2026)
54 Approaches to the Healing Organisation becomes The Healthy Organisation - Practical Ways to Fix Culture, Strengthen Leadership and Improve Performance
(Expected launch: August 2026)
Managing Change at Work becomes 54 Ways to Work With Change - Mastering Resistance Within and Around You
(Expected launch: September 2026)
54 Steps to Happiness becomes Lighter - The Truth About Personal Change
(Expected launch: May 2026)
54 Simple Truths becomes Simple Truths - Honest Reflections on Life, Relationships, and the Challenges We All Face
(Expected launch: May 2026)
I genuinely hope that if you choose to read any of these books, you’ll find something useful, thought-provoking, or encouraging within them. And if they spark questions, reflections, or conversations, please do feel free to get in touch or leave a comment on the blog below, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you for reading and for being part of the journey.

A New Chapter for My Books
For many years, my books have been scattered across different platforms, publishers and websites. Recently, I decided it was time to bring them together in one place.
The site brings together all of my writing in one home. Whether your interest is children's fantasy, wellbeing, leadership, business, or personal development, you'll now find everything in a single place, along with news, reflections and updates on current projects.
Creating the website has also given me the opportunity to take greater control of my publishing journey. Like many independent authors, I've learned that writing the book is only part of the challenge. Helping readers discover it is often the harder task. The new website is an…
I’m delighted by the positive response to the first book in the Fearless Trio series, The Dragons of Yesterday. The encouragement, reviews and feedback from readers have been both rewarding and inspiring, particularly hearing how much children have enjoyed the mystery, humour and adventure.
I have recently published the second book in the series, The Fearless Trio and The Goblin Prince, which takes the story deeper into the hidden world and mysteries of the Dragons’ Realm.
One of the challenges — and pleasures — of writing a series has been maintaining the underlying lore, history, relationships and unfolding mysteries that connect the books together. Each story reveals a little more of the hidden world behind the adventures.
I have especially…
Progress in renewing my publications is progressing well and hopfully within the next few months they should all be available. - Mike W.
